Cactus Landscape Mezcalero — Hand-Engraved Jícara from Oaxaca
A tribute to the Oaxacan desert.
This hand-engraved jícara mezcalera, crafted by José Cruz Sanz, begins as a dried gourd from the Ciria tree of Oaxaca’s coastal region. With traditional gubias and steady hands, José etches a striking cactus landscape, capturing the harmony between land, sun, and spirit.
Smoothed with sandpaper and polished with natural wax and acrylic, each mezcalero tells its own story — one of resilience, roots, and artistry. Ideal for mezcal rituals or as sculptural décor, it embodies the patience and poetry of handmade tradition.
✨ No two are ever alike — each piece is a reflection of nature and the artist’s touch.
